Goat Sales and Chinese Buffets

Yesterday, Brian and I had plans to go to a goat sale with his boss.  This is very random because (1) we have never been to any type of livestock sale and (2) we had no intentions of buying a goat.  (Well, actually, if we still had the fence up at the new house, I believe Brian would have bought one. ha.)  Before we left for Horse Cave, Kentucky, I told Brian, "We should just drive and find someone to eat that we've never been, wouldn't that be fun?"  He tried to nicely explain to me that the exits between us and Horse Cave on I-65 didn't offer anything spectacular, but I still didn't back down.  So we began the drive, stopping at each exit and seeing what was available.  We found some locally owned places along the way; we chose not to eat there because there were zero customers in the parking lot.  That just seemed like a bad sign!  Finally, we saw a sign for a Chinese buffet. Brian, growing tired of searching, recommended that we give up our search and just eat there.  He had been ultra hungry since we left the house.  And ta-da, here is where we ended up eating.....

Well, we didn't see any disturbing rodents or insects; the food was just plain awful!!  At the end of the meal, we saw a cooler that had buckets of ice cream.  I don't even like ice cream, but I thought, maybe this will make up for the horrible food.  Nope, it had the consistency of yogurt.  We laughed about it the whole time and reminded each other, if I'm sick later, remember where we ate dinner and that explains it all.

Although the restaurant was a bust, the fortune at the end made me smile.
